What's it all about?
Health cash plans are a type of cash back scheme that can help you budget for your everyday health needs.

As part of APL Health’s occupational health and wellbeing service, your school has the option to add a cash and benefits plan to your cover. This allows insured members of staff to claim back their everyday healthcare treatment costs up to the annual maximums chosen by your school. There are no medical requirements to join and no GP referral’s required before having treatment. Moreover, the user friendly online member’s area allows insured members of staff to manage their account online, whether they need to amend personal details or download claim forms. 85% of all claims are processed within a two day period, allowing fast payment directly to their bank account.

All insured members of staff will have access to an online GP surgery. Telephone consultations are available 24 hours a day, giving your members of staff access to the support they need, when they need it. Staff also have the option to choose a consultation via webcam, allowing them to speak face-to-face with a GP and access a private prescription service without even leaving their place of work. The online consultation is secure, confidential and easy to use.

Claim up to £75 for health and wellbeing treatments. Insured members of staff will be entitled to receive treatment related to their health and wellbeing to relieve pain or prevent an illness, from a practitioner who is a member of an approved professional organisation. These treatments range from cognitive behavioural therapy for members of staff suffering from depression, to sports and remedial massages for sufferers of back or abdominal pain.

Claim up to £50 for dental benefits. Dental charges depend on the treatment you need to keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy. Should you add the cash and benefits plan to your cover, your insured members of staff will be able to claim for an array of dental treatments and dental fees, such as check-up charges, dental veneers and X-rays.

Claim up to £50 for optical benefits. Insured members of staff will have access to an assortment of optical benefits. Staff can claim for day-to-day optical expenses such as contact lenses, prescribed glasses and prescription sunglasses. Moreover, they can claim for check-ups, eyesight tests and laser eye surgery.

Claims up to £200 for specialist hospital consultations. All insured members of staff will be able to claim for fees incurred through specialist hospital consultations, ECGs, X-rays, pathology fees and MRI scans. To name a few, staff will be covered for hearing aid repairs, physician or surgeon operation fees, speech therapy, dyslexia and dyspraxia treatment.
