Essential OH Services
If you choose the Essential OH option, you and your staff will have unlimited access to all of the below services:
Unlimited occupational health assessments

Sometimes known as management referrals, one of the first steps in identifying a health issue and developing a support plan is an occupational health assessment. This will be an in-depth investigation into a known issue and follow up suggestions on how we can support the individual through their period of physical or mental ill health. It will also detail any adjustments the employer can make to facilitate an earlier and more sustainable return to work, or advise if a return to work isn’t possible or appropriate.

We’ll answer any reasonable questions for employers relating to the employee’s health and fitness for work, and provide you with a useful management report.

We can accept anything from a single referral for your organisation, to a full package with a client area, regular usage reports and employee assistance.

With our online forms and booking systems, we make the referral process as easy and seamless as possible, keeping you informed every step of the way – no paper forms, no scanning documents, and no written consent forms. You can refer your members of staff to us online via your client area, and just answer a few free text and multiple choice questions, then we will do the rest.

We’ll also obtain consent on your behalf, and guarantee to offer appointment availability within five working days.

Unlike any other provider, we offer a ‘speed guarantee’ to every single one of our clients. With this guarantee we also pledge to stick to the timescales that we’ve promised you, and will refund your appointment if we don’t.

Unlimited pre-placement screening

As an employer, it’s important to fulfil your duty of care for your workforce.

Before an employee begins working in their new role for your organisation, it’s important to ensure that they’re fit for the proposed role and any health risks are addressed prior to their start date. Subsequently, it may be necessary for you as an employer to make workplace adaptations or offer support to the employee.

Referring an employee to us for a pre-placement screening is easy. We don’t require a referral form completing, or a detailed consent form, just select the member of staff on your client area or send us their details, and we’ll do the rest.

Our pre-placement system will send the employee a questionnaire to compelte immediately, and if required we will follow up with them within two days to discuss any health concerns that may affect the member of staff’s fitness for work.

As with the occupational health assessments, our pre-placement assessments are covered by our ‘speed guarantee’.

24-hour helpline and emergency mental health support

We provide an employee assistance helpline to all organisations covered by one of our packages.

It nicely wraps up several ‘frontline’ services for your employees who need advice or support quickly.

As well as giving access to emergency mental health support, there is also a range of practical day-to-day advice available. You and your employees will be able to speak to a legal advisor, gain financial information and speak to health professionals for any lifestyle and wellbeing advice.
